Spring is just around the corner, and so is the Troop 346 Flower Sale…

This is a chance for your friends and family to buy top quality plants at low prices. This is also a chance for scouts to raise money to help pay for Many Point Summer Camp, High Adventure Camping, or any of the many camp outs and activities that the Troop participates in. All of the profits from the plant sales go directly into each scout’s Troop Account and can be used for any Troop activity fees or even for approved camping equipment.

Flower Sale orders were due April 23^rd, and the flowers will be available for scouts to pick-up on Monday, May 21st beginning at 4:30 p.m. All orders must be be picked up by 6:30 pm.  Please check your troop email for more details.

Be sure to collect the money when you make the sale. Checks should be made payable to “Troop 346″ – NO CASH.

Scouts will ONLY turn in an order summary sheet, so you can use any order collection sheet you wish! We have included a traditional order form and well as two alternative order forms for individuals. Use whatever works best for you. The Alternative order forms will be good if you need to drop off and collect order forms later.

Many Point camp is on the horizon — mark your calendars with this year’s camp dates!

Scout adventures at Many Point include sailing,swimming, climbing and many more. You will be camping with your patrol for the week and learning new skills with your merit badge classes. Leadership will be there to help guide you on your way!

Week 1 runs July 22 – July 28, 2012.  Week 2 runs July 29 – August 4^th, 2012.

Many Point camp is a good way to help your Scout with advancement through ranks and complete Merit Badges that traditionally are not offered by the Troop.  Time spent at camp will also keep your scout connected with their Patrols and give them a wonderful opportunity to build friendships with other Scouts.

What if your Scout thinks that they have done everything at camp already?  They should check into some of the specialty camps that are offered.  If they have an interest in watersports, scuba, first aid, emergency response, they can attend specialty camps that focus on these areas.

Parents we need your help.  It takes adult volunteers in camp to keep everything running smoothly.   The Troop will cover your camp fees and meals while in camp and reimburse your mileage.  You will get to spend time in a beautiful setting, meet new Scouts in the Troop, build friendships with other Troop adults and help make a successful camp experience for everyone involved.  Please try to spend some time with your scout at camp this summer. We need adults for both weeks of camp – schedule your vacation days now.

Registration materials will be coming in the next few months.  Right now, save these dates and start planning for the summer.
